Miley Cyrus Goes On A Twitter Rant After Her Homeless Friend's Shady Past Is Revealed.

Miley Cyrus is not a Smiler right now.
Miley brought a special date to the VMAs to announce the start of her campaign to help homeless youth.
But when she put her friend Jesse Helt onto the stage, the spotlight uncovered some legal worries from his past! And Miley is NOT happy about that! She took to her Instagram, writing:
"While the media obsesses over one homeless mans legal issue, let's help the other 1.6 million homeless youth http://www.prizeo.com/miley"
But that wasn't all she had to say on the subject! She also tweeted:

"People who are homeless have lived very hard lives. Jesse included."

 "I hope that this can be the start of a national conversation about youth homelessness and how to end it"

"Does looking down upon the homeless help people excuse their inaction?".

Sounds like Miley is pretty upset that this information came to light. But she had to expect it.
You put a person in front of millions of viewers to tell their story, you have to figure people are going to want to know the WHOLE story.
It's true Jesse's troubles certainly don't mean that homelessness is any less of a problem. If anything, it shows what desperate times he was in.
But if Miley wants a national conversation about homelessness, it has to be an honest one, and that means including the ugliest parts.
