Top 10 Most Googled Female Celebrities in the World
When
you’re searching a celebrity, it could be because you’re interested in
their love life, their current style, or their latest projects. But
sometimes you search celebrities to see what mess they’ve gotten
themselves into this week or what gossip and rumors are presently
floating around about them on the Internet. It’s a guilty pleasure
shared by people all around the world.
Looking up a celebrity on Google doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a fan, (a few members of the Kardashian crew made the list). Googling a celebrity could mean you’re a little obsessed with them, like constantly refreshing Google hoping Blake Lively will release the name of her baby girl.
Whether we admit it or not, we can’t help but search celebrities and read mindless posts about them, like looking up how old they are, what they recently tweeted, or the newest picture of them walking their dog. This list of the Top 10 Most Googled Female Celebrities is based on the monthly average Google searches of their name. Some may surprise you, while others may not, but the number of times any of these celebrities are Googled will definitely shock you.
Whether you love to hate her or hate to love her, Gwyneth Paltrow is searched on Google a million times per month. Her divorce to Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin
this past year generated a lot of attention, not to mention her
company, Goop. But Paltrow has always been in the public eye, ever since
her breakout role in Steven Spielberg’s film Hook in 1991. She has starred in some huge films, such as Emma, Shakespeare in Love, The Talented Mr. Ripley, and The Royal Tenenbaums. She won an Oscar for her role in Shakespeare in Love,
and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2013, People magazine
gave her the honor of being their ‘Most Beautiful Woman’ that year.
Jessica Alba, who has starred in the films Honey, Sin City, Into the Blue, Fantastic Four and Good Luck Chuck,
is Googled around 1,500,000 times a month. The actress is not only
searched on Google because of her good looks, her company The Honest
Company, a non-toxic and safe product line for babies and children is
being given a lot of attention by celebrities and regular mothers alike.
The Honest Company is Alba’s main focus these days, that and her two
children, Honor and Haven. She went from being a sex symbol to a
role-model mother, which makes her universally liked by men and woman
everywhere.
Also Googled 1,500,000 times per month is the Victoria’s Secret Angel Miranda Kerr. The supermodel isn’t just an Angel though, she has also written a self-help book titled Treasure Yourself,
has started her own brand of organic skincare products, KORA Organics,
and is the mother to 4-year-old boy Flynn. Her relationship with actor Orlando Bloom
in 2010 and their separation in 2013 was on the radar of every major
celebrity news outlet, followed more recently by Kerr’s reported flings.
Justin Bieber is rumored to have dated Kerr for a while, which lead to a fist fight between Bieber and Bloom back in 2014.
Cara Delevingne,
who is searched on Google around 2,240,000 times a month, is only 22
years old but she is already a superstar. Delevingne models for some of
fashion’s highest and most respected brands and has won the British
Fashion Award for ‘Model of the Year’ in 2012 and in 2014. She also
acts, and will be starring in the film Paper Towns alongside Nat Wolff, an adaptation from the book of the same name, written by John Green, the author of The Fault In Our Stars. If that wasn’t enough, Delevingne also sings, plays guitar and drums. She has 11.6 million followers on Instagram.
Of course the ever-so-stylish Blake Lively was going to make this list. The Gossip Girl
alum is Googled 1,830,000 times a month. People want to see what Lively
is wearing, just as much as they want to see pictures of the starlet
with her husband Ryan Reynolds.
The couple welcomed daughter James in December, but decided to keep the
baby’s name a secret for as long as they could, which resulted in
constant Google searches from curious fans everywhere. Lively also runs
her own business, Preserve, a lifestyle blog and online shop. The
actress recently starred in the film The Age Of Adaline, alongside Harrison Ford.
Kendall Jenner
is searched on Google about 2,740,000 times a month. These days, the
young model is trying to make a name for herself and not just by being
associated to the Kardashian clan. She has modeled for some huge names
in the fashion industry; such as Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Alexander Wang,
Vera Wang, Michael Kors, and Oscar de la Renta. Jenner is the face of
Calvin Klein Jeans and has been featured on the covers of magazines like
Teen Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and GQ. She also continues to star alongside her family on the reality television show Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Not too bad for a 19-year-old.
Another member of the Kardashian family, and fellow star of the reality television show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, is 17-year-old Kylie Jenner.
The socialite and model is Googled 3,350,000 times a month. Jenner has
started a clothing brand and written a science-fiction novel with her
sister Kendall. But why is Kylie Googled more than her older, and
seemingly more successful sister? Jenner is the center of a lot of
controversy, mainly rumors of plastic surgery, posing in blackface, and
dating Will Smith’s 16-year-old son, Jaden Smith. It isn’t too shocking to see the amount of controversy that follows the youngest of the famous family, it’s in her genes.
