Simon Leviev : The Tinder Swindler
Tinder Swindler
Me:
I still wonder how he falsified the documents that Cecilie worked for his company. I assume American Express verifies the documents before expanding the limit.
Also, was I the only one screaming at the tv when Cecilie agreed to go in Bulgaria with a guy she just met in Tinder hours before?? Like girl, maybe that private jet is paid through human trafficking. 😬😬 Or when she found new photos in his Tinder, yet still believed him when he said he deleted Tinder? New photos don’t appear there by miracle.
All in all, I was so angry he only got 5 months of prison and now he’s back with money and probably scamming other girls. That’s just so sad. I feel sorry for his victims who have gotten a lifetime sentence paying off the debt while he is a free man. I’m sure he’s conning other people. So unfair
Even though I did think the women were naieve for lending those amounts of money to a man they only knew for a month.
Skeptical Me:
But all in all, I mean who would take a fckin 250k$ LOAN for a random dude from tinder.
YES RANDOM. These women did it after 1 month, 5 months or so,
How you could trust someone so much, just because he was "rich”?
And yeah it was obvious he will go out of jail, i mean honestly it’s all on the women now. He didn’t take the loans, they did. So sometimes use the brain or make a research about someone and don’t just trust everything you see in the internet. I mean we in 2022?
I just wanted to help a friend” she didnt know shit about him, sending him $$$, putting some random dude over herself -
"I wanted to get a new apartment but i would rather help him”. She talked like this dude was her best friend for years. I just can’t how people can be naive…. Also i don't think she was that poor to not be able to afford new apartment when she had chanel bags, fur jackets, money for boobs and lips surgery.
Anyways in these life situations, just pray that you don't get tried with more than what you can handle, we all have had our trials in life. It is by God.
Key lessons:
Never YOLO and believe someone soooo easily.
Never lend someone money unless you’re prepared to write it off.
If something or someone is too good to be true,RUN
